The City of Beloit Water Resources strives to provide high quality, dependable water service to its customers in the Greater Beloit area.
The water utility operates and maintains nine wells, four booster stations, four elevated storage tanks and 200 miles of mains and extensions. To adequately serve higher elevation locations, the system is divided into three separate pressure zones (Ute, Main, and Gateway).
The water staff uses a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for monitoring and controlling the day-to-day operation of the system. In addition, chlorine and fluoride are added throughout the system for disinfection and regulatory compliance.

Portable Water Meters
Portable water meters may be rented where a meter is needed for a short period of time. These meters are available from the City's Water Resources Division between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
