Dog License
On January 1 of each year you are required to license all dogs aged 5 months or over. You are required to provide proof of their current rabies vaccination which also shows the tag numbers and the expiration dates.

In order to process your application quickly and completely, please be aware of the following procedures:
- Applicant must submit a complete application, with all required documents and associated fees;
- Your application will be processed internally according to City ordinances and state laws. For example, all bartenders' license applications are sent to the Police Department and City Manager for approval.
- All applications will be checked for any outstanding fines/fees/charges due to the City of Beloit through the City Treasury and Municipal Court. If any outstanding fines/fees/charges are due to the City, the applicant will be notified by the Clerk's Office to arrange for payment.
- Once internal processing is complete and all fines, fees, and charges are paid, the license is issued.
- All annual license applications must be processed before the posted due date. Failure to do so will result in a late fee, with a minimum charge of $5.00.
