Community Meeting Information

2024 NRSA Community Meetings 

The City of Beloit Police Department, along with Community Action, Inc., and the City of Beloit, will present two community meetings on the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area (NRSA) and Building a Stronger and Safer Community.  Information will be shared on community programs and resources, crime analytics, and safety initiatives.  A Spanish interpreter will be present at both events. 

  • Hackett Neighborhood - Thursday, March 7, 2024 • 6:00-8:00 p.m. • Beloit Historical Society • 845 Hackett Street   
  • Merrill Neighborhood - Monday, March 11, 2024 • 6:00-8:00 p.m. • Pathways Center • 20 Eclipse Center 

 

2023 Community Meetings

Chief Sayles and members of Command Staff will be holding our Inaugural Annual Report Presentation to review goals, achievements, and crime statistics for Beloit Police Department from 2022 on the following dates: 

•  Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 5:30pm-7:00pm, Hackett Elementary School, 625 8th Street 

•  Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 5:30pm-7:00pm, Merrill Community Center, 1428 Wisconsin Ave  

 2022 Community Meetings 

BPD is partnering again with Community Action to hold neighborhood meetings to share plans to address violent crime and build neighborhood relationships and trust on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, March 23, 2022, 6pm-7:30pm, Hackett Elementary School, 625 8th Street - Use of Force and Mental Health
  • Thursday, March 24, 2022, 6pm-7:30pm, Merrill Community Center, 1428 Wisconsin Avenue - Use of Force and Mental Health

2021 Community Events

Our Department is partnering with Community Action to hold neighborhood gatherings on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 6pm-7:30pm at Vernon Park, 934 Vernon Avenue 
  • Wednesday, June 16, 2021, 6pm-7:30pm at Summit Park, 1218 Henry Avenue    

The goal is to reunite local communities and form an open dialogue so everyone can work together to stop violence from occurring in our city.  Hot dogs, chips, and water will be provided and splash pad hours will be extended to 7:30pm on the day of each event.  Click here to view the media release.
