Investing in Community: Non-Profit Report for June-December 2023
In 2023, the Beloit City Council provided $950,000 of American Rescue Plan Act funding (over a three year period) as grants to non-profit organizations providing homelessness prevention and response services to Beloit residents. In the first seven months of the program, 839 residents have been served in our community through these grants.
City to Kickoff Non-Profit Funding Opportunities
The City of Beloit will be offering funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program to eligible non-profit agencies to support youth programs and services in Beloit.
RSVP Serves Community With No Cost Transportation
The City of Beloit is providing grant funds for homelessness prevention and response services to various non-profits serving Beloit residents. One of the grants is for the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program for the No Cost Transportation program to give those in need of transportation to medical and other necessary appointments.
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)-funded program has served 11 clients with 304 miles driven during 24 trips from June-September 2023. Drivers have donated 22 hours of their time to complete these trips.
