Traffic Control

The purpose of the traffic control group is to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors to the City of Beloit by proper signage and street markings.

Signage

The City of Beloit creates and manufactures all street signs within the city limits. All requests for a new signs should be referred to Engineering at (608) 364-6690.

To report damaged or a missing sign, please call (608) 364-2929 or report it online.

Street Painting

During the spring and summer months the City of Beloit completes street painting. Seasonal employees paint all the storm inlets with information that it drains to the river.

This is done to ensure that the residents do not put products down the storm that may contaminate water entering the river. In addition, the crew is responsible for painting "slow slow school" zones within the City each year. PLEASE SLOW DOWN when crossing these work zones.
