Free Community Sewing Workshop
When:The City of Beloit Department of Public Works, in partnership with the Beloit College Collage Club, is excited to host a Community Sewing Lesson focused on waste reduction, sustainability, and essential sewing skills.
This event will take place 5-7pm Tuesday, April 22, at the Beloit Public Library, 605 Eclipse Blvd in honor of Earth Day. This interactive session invites community members ages 12 and up to bring their clothing items in need of repair or to learn the basics of sewing.
By learning how to mend, participants can extend the life of their clothes, reduce textile waste, and contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle. In addition to hands-on sewing guidance, all attendees will receive a free sewing kit to continue their journey toward a more eco-friendly wardrobe.
