This funded upgrades to keep members of the Beloit Police Department's Tactical Operations Unit and Mobile Field Force Unit safe during high-crisis situations.

The equipment purchased included ballistic vests and helmets, less lethal weapons, and rifles.

The construction of a sewer lift station at Colley and Town Hall roads allows for the future phases of the Eagles Ridge subdivision and future commercial and industrial development in the Gateway area.

This project is currently under design and is expected to go to bid in early 2024.

The construction of the project is partially funded by ARPA dollars; the remaining funds are from the TIF housing fund. 

A new ambulance that runs out of Station #2 was funded through ARPA. The ambulance was purchased in 2022.

The City of Beloit is working to replace aging watermains that have a diameter of less than 6 inches, which is required by the Wisconsin DNR. The city is planning the replacements to coincide with streets in dire need of repairs to maximize its investment in this project.

The Elm, Oak and Roosevelt project that was completed in 2023 was funded through ARPA, as well as the Merrill Street project.

This ongoing project will see work being done on Edan Court, Emerson Street from Central Avenue to Milwaukee Road, Hobart Place, Poydras Street, and Columbus Avenue.

The replacement of these water mains will result in better service delivery and enhanced flows for firefighting needs.

The replacement of lead service lines is a crucial step in ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water, safeguarding the well-being of communities and preventing the long-term consequences of lead poisoning.

The City of Beloit is looking to replace its 2,950 municipal-owned lead service lines. The funding for this initiative covers $1 million in equipment to replace lead service lines, $3 million in materials, and $300,000 to provide filters for impacted residents.
