Thanksgiving Weekend Service Updates

The City of Beloit reminds residents about the following service impacts due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

• Offices Closed: City Hall and all other city offices are closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28. Police and fire are always available by calling 911 for emergencies or 608-755-2244 for non-emergencies. Call 608-364-2888 for any Water Resources-related emergencies; Public Works can be contacted at 608-364-2929 for any other Public Works-related emergencies.
• Solid Waste Collection: Garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for those who have Thursday solid waste collection. Pickup will be on Friday, Nov. 28.
• Recycling Drop-Off Center: The Recycling Drop-Off Center is closed on Saturday, Nov. 29.
• Beloit Public Library: The library will close early at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, for the holiday. It will be closed on Thanksgiving and reopen on Friday, Nov. 28.
• Beloit Transit: Beloit Transit will not operate on Thanksgiving. It will operate a holiday schedule on Friday, Nov. 28.
