Park Avenue Bike Lane Project Begins Thursday, May 14

Work to install painted bike lanes on Park Avenue between Bayliss Avenue and the Stateline begins Thursday, May 14. As part of the project, concrete improvements will take place in the corridor.

Weather permitting, the project will conclude in mid-June.

Isolated lane and road closures will take place while the concrete is replaced. Please exercise caution while driving in the area. Impacted areas include Clary Street and Bushnell Street.

The City has received $400,000 in grant funding to support this project through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT)’s Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP). Additional funding for the project was budgeted for through the city’s Capital Improvement Program budget.

A public input meeting took place in June 2025 on various concepts. Feedback was received and incorporated into the project plan.
