Free Tax Assistance Available at Grinnell Hall

Grinnell Hall Senior Center is proud to announce the following information for December 2025. 

2026 New Membership and 2026 Membership Renewals. Annual membership are available to purchase starting now. Resident/non-resident single memberships are $25/$30. Resident/non-resident couple memberships are $40/$45.  Sign up in person between 8am and 3pm and enjoy the numerous activities, programs, and trips that Grinnell Hall has to offer.

AARP Tax Aide, 8:15am-Noon Mondays through Wednesdays, February 2-April 8. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides tax assistance to anyone, free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low to moderate income. Registration begins January 12 for current members and January 20 for the public. Appointments are first come, first serve. Make your appointment in person or by phone Mondays–Wednesdays 8am-12pm. No fee, open to the public.

Musical Classes, 1pm every other Thursday, Jan. 22-May. Back by popular demand! Grinnell Hall and The Youth Unite are teaming up to bring you a joyful, hands-on musical experience. Whether you’re a lifelong music lover or just curious to try something new, these classes will get everyone tapping, strumming, and smiling. First class is Thursday, Jan. 22. Open to members, non-members age 50 & older must purchase a day pass to participate.

Get Moving!, 1pm Wednesdays. Is fitness part of your 2026 goals? If so, this new class will get you moving and energized. The class focusses on balance and flexibility and can be performed standing, in a chair, or a combination of both. Open to members, non-members age 50 & older must purchase a day pass to participate.
