Housing Developments Increase in City of Beloit

The City of Beloit hears about the need for housing in Beloit on a daily basis. There is a need for housing on all levels – both affordable and market rate.

 

Several projects are underway in Beloit that will help increase the overall units in the city. Here’s an update on all of these projects that have been approved or are in the approval process.

Approved projects in Beloit include:

  • Rock River Townhomes, 1642 Sixth St. – 88 apartment units (affordable housing)
  • Oak Park Place, 1865 Riverside Drive – 110 apartment units in two phases (affordable housing)
  • Meadowlark Development, 3500 Eagles Ridge Drive – 94 apartment units (affordable housing)
  • Community Action Project, 2210 Forest Avenue – single family home (affordable housing)
  • Wisconsin Partnership for Housing Development (WPHD), 1115 Summit Ave., 1321 Shirland Ave., 1325 Shirland Ave. – single family homes (affordable housing)
  • Legacy Turtle Creek, 2651 Fuller Drive – six two-story apartment buildings (market-rate housing)
  • Western Hills Subdivision, Christilla Drive and Trevino Court – 11 single family homes (market rate housing)
  • Additional new market rate single family housing – 15 homes in the Eagles Ridge subdivision, two units in Deerfield subdivision, one unit in Oaks 2 subdivision, four units in Elmwood Commons subdivision and four additional housing units in existing neighborhoods.

 

Looking ahead to 2025, three additional proposed subdivisions will be moving through the approval processes.
