City of Beloit Cemeteries to Hold Spring Cleanup

The 2025 spring cleanup of the Eastlawn and Oakwood cemeteries will start soon.

 

Decorations on gravesites should be removed by Tuesday, April 15, 2025; new decorations may be placed on or after Thursday, May 1, 2025.

 

Things to know:

 

• Broken vases and vases not planted for two years will be removed.
• Artificial and cut flower arrangements must be placed in durable containers; glass, china and fragile vases are not permitted.
• Cemetery staff will dispose of excessive or inappropriate decorations, and any decorations not removed by the deadline of April 15.
• American flags that are not serviceable are removed.
• Ground wreaths and grave blankets are not permitted.
