City of Beloit to Celebrate Independence Holiday

The City of Beloit is ready for an outstanding Independence Day celebration with activities, a concert and fireworks!

 

Pickleball Tournament Information
9 am Thursday, July 4, Wootton Park

 

Sign up by Friday, June 28, to participate in this adult doubles scramble tournament. Players will rotate teammates and opponents in each match. Player with the highest total points and games won of each bracket wins. Brackets will be determined by skill level and number of participants. Fee includes shirt and medal for 1st - 3rd place in each division. Divisions will include 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. Ages 18+. Registration is $25/player; call 608-364-2890 to save your spot. Check in begins at 8:30 am.

Bike Parade Information
9:30 am Thursday, July 4, Riverside Park
 

Bring your bike to Riverside Park for the annual kids bike parade. Participants will be able to let their creativity go wild by decking out their wheels. Decorating begins at 9:30 am and all supplies are provided. The parade starts at 10 am and travels around the lagoon. Awards will be presented for most creative based on participants’ age groups. There is a limit to 50 pre-registered participants. Sign up by calling 608-364-2890 by Thursday, June 27.

BJSO Concert and Fireworks Information
7:30pm Thursday, July 4, Riverside Park

 

The City of Beloit and Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra are gearing up for Pops on the Rock, the annual patriotic concert and fireworks show, that is held at Riverside Park on Independence Day.

 

The BJSO concert will start at 7:30 pm Thursday, July 4, 2024, with the fireworks starting at dusk. The concert will be held at the Harry Moore Pavilion, 1160 Riverside Drive, in the park.

 

Plan ahead and get there early! Parking lots at Riverside Park and ABC Supply will be closed for the event. Accessible parking will be available at the Rotary River Center parking lot. Riverside Drive will close to through traffic at 8:45 pm.
