Beloit Public Works Department to Celebrate Public Works Week
The community is invited to join the City of
Beloit Department of Public Works as we kickoff National Public Works Week and
celebrate in beautiful downtown Beloit. Public Works Week is May 17-23, 2026.
Join Public Works at the Beloit Farmers’ Market from 8am to 1pm Saturday, May 16,
for our Public Works Week event. Celebrate all the great things that happen in
our department; engineering, water resources, parks & recreation and
operations will all be present for this event to highlight how public works impacts
our community.
This year’s theme is: “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community”.
Kids will be able to explore various public works vehicles and equipment. Each child will be provided a passport at the check-in table. The passport can be stamped at each Public Works booth. After the passport is filled out, the child can exchange it to receive a goody bag.
Kids under age 18 can also enter a drawing for a chance to have their name on a custom, mini road sign made by our sign shop with permission from a parent or guardian.
Additionally, black hills spruce trees will be available to take home for planting while supplies last.
While you’re there, pick up a summer program guide and learn about all the recreation programs available in Beloit.
