Beloit City Hall, Public Works Introduces New Operating Hours

In an effort to improve workforce retention and recruitment, the City of Beloit is adjusting operating hours for City Hall and the Public Works Department beginning Monday, June 30.

Beloit City Hall and Public Works will open earlier in the day, which will also better accommodate residents and businesses who need to complete city-related tasks before their own workdays begin.

City Hall Hours
100 State St.

  • Monday-Thursday: 7am to 4:30pm
  • Friday: 7am to 11:30 am

Public Works – Operations and Parks & Recreation
2351 Springbrook Ct.

  • Monday-Thursday: 6:30am-4:00 pm
  • Friday: 6:30am-10:30am

Public Works – Engineering and Water Resources
2400 Springbrook Ct.

  • Monday-Thursday: 6am-4pm
  • Friday: Closed

“It was critical to me that we maintain the same level of service, while allowing us to stay competitive with other local governments for the workforce,” said City Manager Jerry Gabrielatos. “The updated schedule is also designed to create a more flexible work environment.”

City Hall and Public Works will be available the same amount of time to the public with the updated schedule.

City departments not directly impacted by the schedule change, including emergency services, will continue to operate on their standard schedules.
