Foam Pit, Dunk Tank Planned for National Night Out Splash Party

You don’t want to miss this year’s National Night Out kickoff from 4-5pm Tuesday, August 4, at Vernon Park, 934 Vernon Ave. The City of Beloit Police Department is announcing new fun activities for this year.

Cone with a Cop is coming back to a park for the first time since 2019. Culver’s of Beloit will be scooping up fresh, cold vanilla custard while supplies last. Other organizations at National Night Out include YWCA Rock County, Project WisHope, Durham School Services, Acts Housing, and Children’s Wisconsin-Rock County Family Resource Center.

Keeping with a splash party theme, we will have police officers and other community leaders in the dunk tank and a foam party outside.

The event wraps up at 5pm so BPD staff can visit neighborhood block parties.

If any organizations want to bring activity or booth to the splash kickoff at Vernon, please fill out this formby Tuesday, July 28. All activities provided must be donated directly to event attendees at no charge; government organization and 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations are especially encouraged to participate.
