City of Beloit Taking Applications for Police and Fire Commission
Looking to make a difference in serving our community? There is one opening on the Beloit Police and Fire Commission (PFC).
The PFC consists of five residents who are responsible for hiring police and fire chiefs, and approval of subordinate appointments. It also reviews charges against and may discipline or dismiss the police or fire chief or any subordinate.
The PFC meetings are regularly held at 4:30pm on the 4th Monday of each month at City Hall, 100 State St. Dates, times and locations of meetings are subject to change based on needs.
Applications are due back to the city by 11:30am Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. Get an application here: https://www.beloitwi.gov/boards. Applications will be reviewed by the Appointment Review Committee and a finalist will be forward for a City Council interview. All appointments are subject to City Council approval.
