City of Beloit Eliminates Dog Park Fees
The City of Beloit is pleased to announce that fees are no longer being charged for use of the City of Beloit Dog Park, located at 2425 Springbrook Court. The change makes the dog park more accessible, removes financial barriers, and encourages greater use of the park for safe, off-leash recreation.
The Beloit City Council unanimously adopted the ordinance with the change during its meeting on Monday, January 5. The fee update was previously approved on December 15, 2025.
“We view the dog park as a standard amenity for our residents,” said Director of Parks & Recreation Tonya Johann. “We hope this change encourages greater use of the dog park, where pets can roam off leash and residents can connect.”
The Beloit Dog Park is open year-round from dawn to dusk and is fully fenced to allow dogs to run, play, and socialize safely off leash. The approximately 2.5-acre park is enclosed by 1,700 linear feet of fencing and is divided into two areas:
- A 0.5-acre area for small breed dogs.
- A 2.0-acre area for large breed dogs.
While there is no longer a fee to use the dog park, all dogs are required to be properly licensed.
