City of Beloit to Replace 4 Playgrounds, Seeks Public Input
The City of Beloit is replacing the playgrounds at Rev. U.S. Pride, Christilla, Horace White and Brown Hatchett parks. The Department of Public Works’ Parks & Recreation Division is seeking public input as it determines what features to include in the future playgrounds.
The community can participate in two ways:
- Take a brief online survey.
- Attend a public input session.
The public input session is scheduled for 6pm Monday, May 13, at Beloit Public Library, 605 Eclipse Blvd. Beloit residents are welcomed to share feedback and priorities as the city invests in local parks.
Additionally, online surveys can be taken at https://www.beloitrecreation.com/parks/playground-surveys/.
Playground replacements are budgeted through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Capital Improvement Plan funding. The playgrounds will be replaced in 2024.
