Beloit Community Invited to Meet New City Manager

The community is invited to an open house reception with Beloit City Manager Daniel Ortiz Hernandez, who officially started with the City of Beloit on June 22, 2026.

The reception will be held 5-6:30pm Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Rotary River Center, 1160 S. Riverside Drive, Beloit. Popsicles, cookies and other refreshments will be provided. Beloit residents are invited to meet Ortiz Hernandez, enjoy the sweet treats, and stay to explore Riverside Park.

Ortiz Hernandez spent his first week in Beloit meeting the city’s senior leadership team and began reviewing budget requests for the city’s capital improvement plan.

“In the weeks ahead, I look forward to hearing from employees across the organization and continuing to learn from their experiences and perspectives,” Ortiz Hernandez said. “I also look forward to meeting more residents, whether at community events, local businesses, neighborhood gatherings, or simply while exploring the city with my family.

“The enthusiasm and dedication I have already seen from City staff and community members make me even more excited about the future of Beloit. Thank you again for the warm welcome. My family and I are excited to be part of this community and proud to call Beloit home.”
