Beloit City Council Approves $250,000 in Grants to Local Non-Profits
The Beloit City Council is granting six Beloit non-profit organizations a combined $250,000 to provide youth programming to Beloit residents through the City’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
The organizations that will receive funding include:
- Community Action: $80,000
o $30,000 for the Fresh Start Program
o $50,00 for the Merrill Community Center
- Welty Environmental Center’s 3-Day Field Trips for 5th Graders: $50,000
- City-Wide Youth Softball: $50,000
- Stateline Boys & Girls Club’s Operation Great Futures program: $30,000
- Scouts BSA’s ScoutReach program: $20,000
- Beloit Boxing Foundation – Rojas Boxing Gym: $20,000

The funding allocations were approved during the Beloit City Council meeting on Monday, April 1.
