City of Beloit to Offer Free Bus Fares on Election Day

The City of Beloit is removing transportation barriers for the upcoming election by providing free busing through Beloit Transit.

All fares will be free on Tuesday, April 7, which is Election Day. The free service was approved by the Beloit City Council last month. The free fares apply to Beloit Transit routes only; fares will still be in effect for the Beloit-Janesville Express routes.

“We want our residents to have their voices heard,” said Transit Operations Manager Don Driscoll. “We look forward to providing this service so our residents with transportation challenges can get to the polls.”
