Neighborhood Clean-Up Days Scheduled for August

Community Action, in partnership with the City of Beloit, is proud to announce two upcoming Neighborhood Clean-Up Days designed to support residents in the Merrill and Hackett neighborhoods. These events are part of a broader, community-driven effort to improve environmental conditions, reduce illegal dumping, and foster neighborhood pride in historically underserved areas.

 

The Merrill Neighborhood Clean-Up Day will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Regina Dunkin Park (1218 Henry Avenue). Electronics drop-off for this event will be available at Community Action’s main office (1428 Wisconsin Avenue, Beloit).

 

The Hackett Neighborhood Clean-Up Day will follow on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Beloit Historical Society (845 Hackett Street).

 

These events provide residents with safe, accessible, and no-cost options to dispose of unwanted household items, including electronics, tires, computers, and small televisions. By offering centralized drop-off locations, Community Action and its partners aim to reduce neighborhood clutter, prevent illegal dumping, and improve the overall appearance and health of local communities.
