Register Now for the Rain Barrel Workshop
Build your own rain barrel at the Rock River Coalition’s Rain Barrel Workshop on Saturday, May 10 in Beloit! Rain barrels are a great way to cut down on lawn and landscape irrigation, using free rainwater instead. This saves you money on water bills, and helps reduce demand for energy-intensive treated tap water, and limits stormwater runoff and erosion. A single 55-gallon rain barrel can save up to 1,300 gallons of water every year! Help reduce the demands placed on our watersheds and protect freshwater resources by installing your own rain barrel.
Learn about protecting water resources with a short presentation, receive an upcycled rain barrel and rain barrel converter kit (one per household), and guided instructions for prepping and installing your own rain barrel.
