Beloit PFC Appoints Interim Fire Chief

The Beloit Police & Fire Commission appointed Todd Farley as interim fire chief of the City of Beloit Fire Department during its meeting tonight.

Farley has served as a battalion chief leading the department’s emergency medical services division since January 2023. Farley has been in the fire service for over 30 years. He progressed through the various ranks, including serving as fire chief of the Leavenworth County Fire District No. 1 and of the Macon, MO Fire Department. He has a master’s degree in leadership.

The PFC will discuss the next steps in the fire chief hiring process during its December meeting. The City of Beloit will continue to keep the community informed as key decisions are made.
