Beloit Kicks Off Comprehensive Plan Update
The City of Beloit is conducting a 12-month planning process to update the Comprehensive Plan, which was last updated in 2008 and 2018. The updated plan will guide the growth, development and preservation of the community over the next 20 years.
A Comprehensive Plan takes a long-term, big-picture view of Beloit’s future and makes recommendations for policies and strategies that will help realize the community vision, addressing key areas such as land use, housing, transportation, economic development, and others. The City has hired urban planning consultants Vandewalle & Associates to guide and facilitate the planning process.
Help shape your community – get involved! A critical component of the City of Beloit’s 2045 Comprehensive Plan planning process is incorporating public input. Residents are asked to keep an eye out for information on the following public input opportunities where they can share key priorities and goals for the future of the community.
