Provide Input on Plan to Address Community's Needs (2025-2029 Consolidated Plan Public Notice)

The City of Beloit is in the process of preparing its 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan for submission to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This plan is a five-year strategic plan that specifies how the City plans to address community needs through its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.

 

Three steering committee meetings will be held to give community service providers, stakeholders, and the public an opportunity to give input on community development, special needs, housing, and homeless needs in the city.

 

  1.      Housing and Homelessness Steering Committee Meeting:

Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 7:30AM

 

  1.      Non-Homeless Special Needs Steering Committee Meeting:

Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 7:30AM

 

  1.      Non-Homeless Community Development Steering Committee Meeting:

Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 7:30AM

 

Location of all three meetings:

All three meetings will take place virtually through Microsoft Teams – Contact Brian Gile at gileb@beloitwi.gov or (608)364-6710 to register and receive the virtual meeting links.

 

Members of the Beloit City Council, Community Development Authority (CDA), and Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) were invited to attend these CDBG Consolidated Plan Steering Committee meetings. A quorum of City Councilors, CDA members, and EOC members may be present. No formal action will be taken by the boards during these meetings.
