Draft Climate Action Plan Available for Review

The draft plan of the Climate Action Plan is now available for review.  The City of Beloit has spent the past year developing its first Climate Action Plan. Created with guidance from a collaborative, multi-stakeholder planning team, the plan sets goals and identifies actions to advance climate efforts across both municipal operations and the broader community. It provides a roadmap for strengthening climate resilience and achieving the City’s goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.

Next Steps

 

·       6pm Tuesday, January 20, Presentation to Beloit City Council, 100 State St.

·       6-7:30pm Wednesday, January 21, Community Workshop, 2400 Springbrook Court.

·       Sunday, February 1, 2026, feedback on the draft plan is due.

 

After the feedback on the draft plan is received, the final draft will go before the Beloit City Council for approval before the plan is finalized.
