Finalists for Beloit Police Chief Search Announced

The Beloit Police & Fire Commission (PFC) interviewed candidates for the position of Police Chief on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, and have selected three individuals to advance to the second round of interviews. The entire community is invited to meet the finalists at a forum at 6pm Monday, Oct. 27.

The finalists are:

  • Anthony Miceli, current Chief of Police in Town of Geneva, Wisconsin Police Department.  Former Chief of Police Machesney Park Police Department (Division of Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office)
  • Schonella Stewart, Commander of Patrol, Investigation, and Community Policing Unit, Oak Park, Illinois Police Department
  • Ty Eagleson, Assistant Deputy Chief - Investigative Services Bureau, Rockford, Illinois Police Department

There were no internal applicants from the City of Beloit Police Department for the position of police chief.

The next steps in the process are:

  • Assessment Center: Friday, Oct. 24
  • Community Forum: Monday, Oct. 27
  • Second Round of Interviews With PFC: Tuesday, Oct. 28

The community forum will be held at the Beloit Public Library at 6pm Monday, October 27, 2025; a live stream will be available for those who can’t attend in person at https://www.youtube.com/c/BeloitTV

The format of the forum will include:

  • brief introductions of each of the finalists
  • question and answer period
  • opportunity for the public to mingle with the finalists

The PFC invites the public to submit questions for the candidates for the community forum to publiccomment@beloitwi.gov. The deadline to submit questions is Friday, October 24, 2025. The community forum will be facilitated by the recruiting consultants at MGT.
