Give Back: City of Beloit Seeks Applicants for Board of Review

We are seeking 3-5 City of Beloit residents to serve on the Board of Review. The Board of Review sets the tax assessment roll and hears property valuation disputes.

Appointments to the Board of Review are for a five-year term. Currently, the City is taking applications for terms expiring in 2027, 2029, 2030 and two alternate seats expiring in 2029.

The Board of Review meets once a year in spring or summer to review the city’s assessment roll and to field any challenges on valuation from property owners.

Members of the Board of Review are compensated at a rate of $70/full day for meeting attendance.
