Community Services Officers/Animal Control

The Community Service Officers (CSO) program is designed to use nonsworn personnel to handle minor calls for service, traffic accidents, and parking violations. This allows sworn personnel to concentrate on higher priority calls for sevice. Our CSO officers also act as animal control officers. In that capacity they enforce laws regarding the treatment and care of animals, including transport to the Humane Society or for veteranary care if needed.
