Joint Fire Commission

Description:  The Joint Fire Commission consists of 5 residents of the City of Beloit and Town of Beloit.  It governs fire department personnel decisions, including hiring the chief, approving subordinate firefighter appointments, and setting eligibility lists. It hears formal discipline charges, holds public hearings, and issues final rulings on suspension, demotion, or removal.
