Running for City Council (information packet)

Three seats are up for election on the Beloit City Council for the 2025-2027 term. The City Clerk-Treasurer's office is responsible for providing candidates with the information and and forms necessary to properly declare candidacy and run for City Council. The City Council election packet information is now available.

Please note the following important dates:

  • Candidates can begin circulating nomination papers on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

  • Incumbents not seeking re-election must file the Notification of Non-candidacy by Friday, Dec. 27, 2024.
  • All completed forms and nomination papers are due to the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. 

  • The Spring Election will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

  • Newly-elected Councilors will take office on Tuesday, April 115, 2025.
